Advanced smartwatch based on Wear OS 6 that stands out for its superior autonomy within the ecosystem of smartwatches with Google's system. It incorporates a dual-processor architecture and a 930 mAh silicon-carbon battery, capable of up to 6 days of real use in smart mode. It also introduces hardware innovations such as an EMG gesture sensor for muscle-pulse control, a high-brightness AMOLED display and a dual-band GNSS positioning system. Its construction combines stainless steel with sapphire glass for added strength.

Dual-Chip architecture and silicon-carbon battery

The watch is powered by the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 platform, which runs Wear OS and the most demanding apps. Background tasks, Always-On Display (AOD) and sensor monitoring are handled by the 6nm BES2800 coprocessor, optimising power consumption.

The 930 mAh battery allows:

• Up to 6 days of typical use.
• Up to 4 days with Always-On display on.
• Up to 18 days in economy mode.

Magnetic charging system completes the cycle in approximately 90 minutes.

High brightness AMOLED display

Features a 1.54-inch AMOLED panel with 480 × 480 pixel resolution and 312 ppi pixel density. Its maximum brightness reaches 1500 nits, ensuring good visibility even in direct sunlight.

The display is protected by sapphire glass (Mohs hardness 9), which is highly scratch-resistant. The 47 mm case is made of stainless steel and is combined with a sporty fluoro-rubber strap.

EMG sensor for gesture control

The Xiaomi Watch 5 integrates an EMG (electromyography) sensor, capable of detecting electrical impulses generated by the muscles of the forearm.

This allows the interface to be controlled by hand gestures, such as making a fist or pinching in the air, without the need to touch the screen. This is especially useful when hands are busy or wet.

Wear OS 6 and Google ecosystem

The device runs Wear OS 6, offering direct access to Google ecosystem apps such as Google Maps, Google Wallet for NFC payments and the Google Gemini assistant.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The system is optimised for Android smartphones (8.0 or higher), while iOS support is limited.

Dual-band GNSS and health sensors

The watch incorporates a dual-band GNSS positioning system (L1 + L5) compatible with GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou and QZSS, improving accuracy in urban environments or areas with complex coverage.

In the health section, it integrates PPG optical sensors for heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, skin temperature sensor and bioimpedance analysis.

It is water resistant to 5 ATM, suitable for swimming and daily use in wet conditions.
