The Akuvox R20K-2 is an outdoor video door phone that runs over a two-wire bus. That is the point of it: you can modernise an old entry system using the cabling already in place, without chasing walls to bring network to the street door. It speaks SIP, so it works with compatible PBXs and monitors.

• 2 MP camera with a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor and resolution up to 1920 × 1080.
• 110° horizontal field of view: covers the width of an entrance.
• High-intensity infrared LEDs for night-time viewing.
• Numeric keypad and RFID reader, 13.56 MHz (NFC) and 125 kHz.
• Aluminium alloy front panel with IP65 protection against rain and dust.
• 48 VDC power over the 2-wire bus, no separate supply.
• 1 relay output for the door release, 1 input, Wiegand and RS485.

Where it fits

Intended for retrofitting entry systems in apartment and office buildings where two wires are already run and pulling network cable is not worth it. For a new installation with network in place, the R20K (IP, with PoE) is usually the better fit.
