Dyson White/Silver Tower Fan
Air Multiplier™ Technology Air
is accelerated through a ring opening, becoming a high-velocity jet of air. The air then passes over an aerodynamic ramp, which directs its course and creates low-pressure areas behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces the surrounding air into the flow, creating a powerful and even flow of cool air.

Reducing turbulence not only makes the fans quieter, it also reduces the amount of energy needed to move the air inside them. The fans continue to produce powerful airflow, but their motors are now calibrated to run more slowly and consume less power.

By reducing the turbulence of Dyson Cool™ fans, Dyson engineers have managed to make them quieter. To achieve this, they optimized the airflow paths within the device, allowing air to pass through it easily. Additionally, they provided a Helmholtz cavity in each fan, to capture and dissipate engine noise.
