With a clear emphasis on build quality and lasting performance, the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G refreshes the company's mid-range offering. Its chassis has been slimmed down to 6.9 millimetres and swaps polycarbonate for an aluminium frame. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ is applied to both the front and the back, while IP67 certification ensures the handset resists dust and survives immersion in up to one metre of water for 30 minutes.

LTPO screen with 1,900 nits of brightness

The phone carries a flat 6.6-inch Super AMOLED panel at FHD+ resolution. Its standout technical feature is an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz thanks to LTPO technology, which helps to keep power use in check. Peak brightness reaches 1,900 nits in high-brightness conditions, so the screen stays legible outdoors. Eye Comfort Shield 2.0 cuts blue light emission, and HDR10+ is supported as well.

4nm Exynos platform and RDNA 3.5 graphics

At its core sits Samsung's Exynos 1680 chip, built on a 4 nanometre process. It teams up with the Samsung Xclipse 550 GPU, which draws on AMD's RDNA 3.5 architecture to handle demanding graphics. This variant pairs 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As is now common in this segment, there is no microSD card slot.

Cameras with advanced stabilisation

Three sensors make up the rear camera array. The 50-megapixel main unit (f/1.8) offers Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and PDAF autofocus. Alongside it are a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (123°) and a 5-megapixel macro lens. Up front, the 12-megapixel camera can record 4K video at 60fps, with the VDIS electronic stabilisation system lending a hand.

45W fast charging and long-term support

The 5,000 mAh battery now takes 45W fast charging, reaching 50% in roughly 25 minutes. For connectivity it offers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0 and Dual SIM support (Nano-SIM + eSIM). The device ships with One UI 8.5 on top of Android 16, and Samsung officially commits to 6 years of system updates and security patches.
