This model refreshes the company's most affordable range for 2025, placing emphasis on the durability of both its hardware and software. The configuration includes 4 GB of RAM alongside 64 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which exceeds what is typically found in this price bracket.

Its standout feature is the manufacturer's long-term update pledge, with support assured through 2031 and a lengthened Android version cycle.

Performance: Helio G99 and UFS 2.2 storage

At its core sits the MediaTek Helio G99 chip (6 nm), an Octa-Core unit made up of 2x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 and 6x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55, known for its thermal efficiency and consistent behaviour.

Rather than the eMMC memory used by many entry-level rivals, this device adopts UFS 2.2, which cuts loading times and boosts write speeds. With 4GB of RAM, One UI 7 on Android 15 runs smoothly.

A triple slot allows 2 SIM cards plus a MicroSD card of up to 1 TB to be used at the same time.

6.7-inch display and refined design

The screen is a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels). A 90 Hz refresh rate enhances touch response and scrolling smoothness.

It measures just 7.6 mm thick and weighs 184 g. The black rear finish carries a subtle pattern that improves grip. A side fingerprint reader and IP54 certification against dust and splashes are included.

Photography with 50 MP sensor

The rear setup combines a 50 MP (f/1.8) main sensor with PDAF and a 2 MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Full HD (1080p) recording is possible at up to 60 fps, with slow motion at 120 fps in HD.

An 8 MP front camera (f/2.0) sits within a notch and enables facial unlocking. Image processing favours natural colour, and there is no optical image stabilisation (OIS).

Battery and extended support

A 5000 mAh battery powers the device, supporting 25W fast charging over USB-C. Thanks to the Helio G99's efficiency and the HD+ resolution, up to two days of moderate use is achievable.

For connectivity, it offers dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 and a 3.5mm jack. Samsung pledges security updates until 31 August 2031 and 6 major Android versions.
