This model refreshes the company's most affordable range for 2025, prioritising durability in both hardware and software. The variant offered here comes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, a combination that goes beyond what is normally found in this price bracket.

What really sets it apart is Samsung's long-term update pledge: support is assured until 2031, along with an extended cycle of Android versions.

Performance: Helio G99 and UFS 2.2 storage

At its core sits the MediaTek Helio G99 processor (6 nm), an Octa-Core unit made up of 2x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 and 6x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55, known for staying cool and running steadily.

Rather than the eMMC memory often seen in entry-level handsets, this one adopts UFS 2.2, which cuts loading times and boosts write speeds. With 4 GB of RAM, One UI 7 on Android 15 runs without hiccups.

A triple slot lets you use 2 SIM cards plus a MicroSD of up to 1 TB at the same time.

6.7-inch display and refined design

The screen is a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels). Its 90 Hz refresh rate makes touch response and scrolling noticeably smoother.

It measures just 7.6 mm thick and weighs 184 g. The black back has a subtle pattern that helps with grip. There is a side-mounted fingerprint reader and IP54 certification against dust and splashes.

Photography with 50 MP sensor

On the back you get a 50 MP (f/1.8) main sensor with PDAF alongside a 2 MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Recording is possible in Full HD (1080p) at up to 60 fps, and slow motion at 120 fps in HD.

The 8 MP front camera (f/2.0) sits in a notch and enables facial unlocking. Image processing favours natural colour, and there is no optical image stabilisation (OIS).

Battery and extended support

A 5000 mAh battery is included, supporting 25W fast charging through USB-C. Thanks to the Helio G99's efficiency and the HD+ resolution, up to two days of moderate use is achievable.

For connectivity, you get dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 and a 3.5mm jack. Samsung promises security updates until 31 August 2031 and 6 major Android versions.
