Xiaomi 17 Ultra

The 2026 flagship from the brand, built around computational photography and top-tier performance. It combines Leica Summilux optics with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset produced on a 3nm process. This handset features a HyperRGB panel, a silicon-carbon anode battery with high energy density and an under-display ultrasonic biometric system.

Leica Photo System: 1-inch sensor and mechanical telephoto lens

The primary module houses the 1" Light Fusion 1050L sensor at 50 MP resolution, engineered to capture as much native light as possible and cut noise without leaning too heavily on post-processing. It includes a variable physical aperture (f/1.67 - f/2.9), which delivers genuine mechanical depth-of-field control and natural optical blur.

Alongside it sits a 200 MP periscopic telephoto lens with a Samsung ISOCELL HPE sensor (1/1.4"). Its optics provide continuous optical zoom from 75mm to 100mm, sidestepping digital interpolation and preserving native resolution across the whole focal range. Rounding off the setup is a 50 MP (115°) ultra wide-angle lens, Leica-calibrated for consistent colour between the lenses.

HyperRGB display and Starlit Green design

6.9" LTPO OLED panel (Xiaomi HyperRGB) with 2K+ resolution (2608 x 1600 pixels). It reaches 3500 nits peak brightness and 1600 nits in HBM mode, so outdoor viewing stays clear. It also includes 2160 Hz PWM dimming to cut flicker. Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0 provides the protection.

The Starlit Green finish combines silicone polymer with glass fibre composite, improving grip while reducing fingerprint marks. The device carries IP68 certification for dust resistance and freshwater immersion.

Performance: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and IceLoop cooling

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3 nm) with Oryon V3 architecture and cores reaching up to 4.6 GHz. It handles demanding multitasking, heavy workloads and 8K video recording.

Heat management relies on the Xiaomi 3D Dual-Channel IceLoop system, which keeps the processor and camera module cooling circuits separate to limit performance drops caused by temperature.

Silicon-carbon battery and PPS charging

Built-in 6000 mAh battery using silicon-carbon anode technology, raising energy density compared with conventional cells. The HyperCharge 90W system delivers a full charge in roughly 35 minutes.

Compatible with PPS (Programmable Power Supply) and USB Power Delivery 3.0. It also supports 50W wireless charging and reverse charging.

Connectivity and ultrasonic biometrics

It features a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor beneath the screen, which works even with wet fingers. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and 5G SA/NSA global networks. The USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port allows DisplayPort video output and high-speed data transfer.
