Smartphone Blackview XPLORE 1 5G, 120Hz, 55W, Dual Sim, 12GB 256GB, Black Rugged

A 20000 mAh battery with 55 W charging, a dual display setup (6.78" 120 Hz front and 2.01" rear) and a twin 170 lumen torch. This rugged model is built for extended days and fieldwork, focusing on visibility, battery life and built-in tools.

Displays and design

The 6.78" 120Hz FHD+ IPS FHD+ panel prioritises smoothness and durability with Gorilla Glass 5; the 2.01" sub-display facilitates notifications and quick access without turning on the main display. The oversized chassis guarantees protection, at the cost of 184×83×29.5 mm and 638 g, measures to consider in prolonged tasks.

Performance and connectivity

With MediaTek Dimensity 7050 (6 nm), 12/256 GB or 16/512 GB options and microSD up to 2 TB, it offers room for mapping, video and documentation apps. Includes 5G and Wi-Fi 6 and NFC. The balance between efficiency and fast memory(LPDDR5 + UFS 3.1) facilitates intensive use.

Cameras and utilities

64 MP rear + 20 MP IR night vision and 50 MP front (Samsung JN1), with 4K@30 video. Dual 170 lm torch adds modes, including SOS, useful for night-time inspections. Lack of dedicated ultra wide angle, but the IR camera covers low light and security scenarios.

Ruggedness and software

IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications with shock, dust and water oriented reinforcement elements (seals and frames). Runs DokeOS 4.2 (Android 15) with 3 years of OTA updates, and adds Gloves Mode and IR control. 5W reverse charging allows powering accessories.

Our expert opinion

The Blackview XPLORE 1 combines 20000 mAh/55 W, dual screen and 170 lm torch, a formula aimed at professionals who prioritise autonomy and integrated tools over lightness. Compared to the Oukitel WP33 Pro (22,000 mAh, 33 W and 136 dB speaker), it sacrifices volume and raw capacity in exchange for faster charging and a second screen; the Oukitel, for its part, weighs less and stands out as a "speakerphone". Overall, the XPLORE 1 is positioned for performance/ ruggedness, with a size that requires acceptance but compensates with sustained battery life, night vision and an ecosystem of features useful in the field.
