The Sony WH-1000XM5 is a high-end wireless headset with advanced noise cancelling technology, 30mm diaphragm and up to 30 hours of battery life, featuring a comfortable, minimalist design in Midnight Blue and smart features such as adaptive sound control and Speak-to-Chat technology.

Automatic NC optimiser

The Sony WH-1000XM5 has four microphones in each ear cup to pick up ambient sound more accurately. The automatic NC optimiser will automatically optimise the Noise Cancelling performance depending on how you wear the headphones and external factors such as atmospheric pressure.

30 mm diaphragm for quality sound

All this with a 30 mm diaphragm with a soft edge and enhanced Noise Cancelling for precise music listening. The light and rigid dome is made of carbon fibre composite material, which will improve the clarity of the sound, especially at high frequencies.

Precise Voice Pickup Technology

The Sony WH-1000XM5 features Precise Voice Pickup technology. This will employ four multi-directional microphones and an AI-based noise reduction algorithm to accurately isolate your voice. Its new noise reduction structure will minimise noise during calls, making your voice heard clearly.

Comfortable, minimalist design

These lightweight headphones are created in Midnight Blue with a gold Sony logo on the top of each earcup, which together with the minimalist design and quality materials gives them a premium look and feel. In addition, they have a soft leather finish that wraps around the head to put less pressure on the ears and block out external sounds.

Intelligent adaptive sound

They have an intelligent adaptive sound control function, which will detect where you are and what you're doing to create the ideal listening experience based on the ambient sound. When activated, it will learn from your behaviour and recognise the locations you visit most often, to adapt the sound to each situation.

Speak-to-chat

If you start talking, Speak-to-Chat technology stops the music and lets the ambient sound pass through, which is useful if you don't want to take off your headphones or have your hands full. This smart feature uses built-in microphones and an advanced audio signal processing system to recognise and react to your voice. The music will resume when you're done talking. And if you take them off, it will pause the music, as it incorporates a capacitive sensor that detects when you're wearing them and when you're not.

30-hour battery life and fast charging

This model has up to 30 hours of battery life, with enough power even for travel. Plus, its 3-minute quick charge gives you up to 3 additional hours.

Touch control

The Sony WH-1000XM5 has intuitive touch control. For example, you can press the button on the left side to switch between Noise Cancelling and Ambient Sound modes, or use the touchpad on the right side to play or pause music, skip tracks, change the volume and much more.
