SoundPEATS Air5 Pro+

These in-ear headphones are built for high-fidelity audio reproduction. In contrast to the standard Air5 model, which features a semi-open design, the "Pro+" variant adopts an in-ear format with silicone ear cushions to enhance passive isolation. The acoustic setup relies on a dual-driver system: a 10 mm dynamic driver with bio-diaphragm handling low and mid frequencies, alongside an xMEMS silicon micro-speaker dedicated to high frequencies.

Dual drivers

The solid-state xMEMS driver lacks a conventional voice coil, which enables almost instantaneous transient response and removes mechanical distortion. An Aptos Class-H XAA-2000 amplifier is built in to control this component, a specific piece of hardware that broadens the dynamic range and preserves signal purity.

Hi-Res sound

The Qualcomm QCC3091 chipset sits at the core of the device, supporting the Snapdragon Sound platform and carrying Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. It accommodates a broad range of high-resolution codecs: aptX Lossless (bit-for-bit CD quality), aptX Adaptive (up to 96kHz/24bit), LDAC and LC3 (under the LE Audio standard). By default, LDAC and LC3 protocols are turned off to optimise battery life; activating them requires the official PeatsAudio application.

ANC

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is hybrid and adaptive, delivering a reduction depth of up to 55dB with a bandwidth of 4000Hz. For calls, a 6-microphone system (3 per earpiece) with ENC technology filters out ambient noise and prioritises speech.

Connectivity

Bluetooth 5.4 ensures a stable signal and supports multipoint connection, enabling pairing with two devices at once. For gaming and video, a 60ms low latency mode is included.

Battery life reaches up to 6 hours of continuous use with ANC off. When noise cancellation or high-resolution codecs (Lossless/LDAC) are active, playback time ranges between 4 and 4.5 hours. The 520 mAh case extends total battery life to 30 hours. Charging is via USB-C (2 hours for a full charge) and fast charging is supported: 10 minutes of connection yields 2 hours of audio. This model omits wireless charging and a proximity sensor for auto pause.
