A 65.3 × 22.1 × 11.9 mm, 21.7 g aluminium chassis houses dual ESS ES9219 DACs with 768 kHz/32 bit PCM decoding , DSD256 and 16× MQA, handling single (3.5 mm) and balanced (4.4 mm) outputs up to 340 mW @ 32 Ω. This architecture makes the dongle a transportable audiophile solution for smartphone, tablet and PC.
The two ES9219s work in parallel mode to reduce distortion to THD+N 0.0006 % and boost dynamics to 123 dB. Full 16× MQA deployment opens masters from Tidal or other platforms without additional hardware.
The 4.4 mm connection delivers 3.3 Vrms, sufficient for 250-300 Ω headphones; the 3.5 mm output delivers 110 mW for sensitive IEMs. Both maintain a 20-90 kHz response and noise below 2.2 µV.
The USB-C UAC 1.0/2.0 driver ensures plug-and-play on Android, iOS (with adapter), Windows, macOS and even Nintendo Switch, while the RGB indicator shows sample rate at a glance.
The machined body integrates physical volume buttons and is accompanied by USB-C↔USB-C and USB-A cables, plus an MQA subscription voucher and basic protective case.
The HiBy FC4 gets a remarkable quality-performance ratio: its balanced power exceeds the 320 mW of the iBasso DC06 Pro and comes close to the FiiO KA5 (265 mW), while maintaining a more compact and lighter profile. Compared to the previous HiBy FC3, it adds balanced output, a 10 dB higher SNR and 16× MQA deployment, improving stage and punch in demanding headphones. It lacks the OLED display and multiple gain modes offered by the KA5, but compensates with lower power consumption and almost imperceptible residual noise. All in all, the HiBy FC4 is the dongle of choice for those looking for high resolution, balanced power and extreme portability without breaking the budget.
