A DECT handset equipped with the finest audio choices.
It is up to you: whether you would rather make calls straight from the handset or use the handsfree option, you are free to carry on with other tasks while others can hear and join the conversation. Or pick which of the two handsfree profiles suits you best: adjust the balance towards higher or lower frequencies so that it feels comfortable. Whichever option you go for, superb voice quality is guaranteed!

Legible, comfortable to hold, easy to use: making calls is as pleasant as possible.
One of the most striking features of the Gigaset AS690 is arguably its big black and white illuminated graphic display. This brings several benefits: the strong contrast of white characters against a black background, or the large numeric display while dialling, are designed to make operation even simpler. On top of that, an ergonomic keypad with illuminated keys and intuitive controls deliver a high level of comfort during calls.

Switch off whenever you like - thanks to protection from unwanted calls
Should you not wish to answer a call, you can disregard particular numbers or anonymous callers: once the block list is switched on, calls from as many as 32 numbers on it are neither signalled nor shown on screen. You can add unwanted phone numbers to the block list by hand or move them over from the call list. Even for anonymous calls without caller ID, you can stop the ringing and also set, through time control, when the handset is allowed to ring and when it is not.

Keep in touch thanks to the built-in phonebook and long talk time
Gigaset AS690 makes communication easier: with 14 hours of talk time, for instance, you can always be certain of speaking to your contacts at any moment. The device phonebook holds as many as 100 names and numbers, and the last 25 calls with number and time are listed automatically. What is more, with 180 hours of standby time, you remain reachable at all times.

Always kind to the environment - and radiation-free thanks to ECO DECT
As with all Gigaset cordless phones, the Gigaset AS690 series comes with ECO DECT technology, which is respectful of the environment. This means the phones give off no radiation in standby mode; and the same holds when several handsets are being used, provided the base station and all registered handsets support ECO DECT. While a call is in progress, the transmission power adjusts automatically to the distance between base and handset. The nearer to the base, the less radiation. To achieve maximum DECT range, ECO DECT mode can be turned off at any time.

Never miss a call - Gigaset AS690A with built-in digital answering machine
Are you out and about and unable to pick up the phone? Just leave it to your answering machine. With a recording time of as much as 20 minutes, messages are kept and you choose when to listen to them at your convenience via the handset, base station, or remote access. Even if the power fails, recordings are retained. Record a personalised announcement and set the recording duration: in this way you can tailor the answering machine to suit your preferences.

Even greater flexibility - with plenty of compatible phones
Use your phone wherever you need it: the Gigaset AS690 can be extended with as many as four handsets, which you can arrange flexibly around your home. That way you always have a device to hand in the kitchen, as well as in the bedroom or home office.
