Keyboard and Display

The 2.4-inch TFT colour screen shows any active function, making it easy for the owner to use. The icons are also large enough to be recognised without difficulty by any user. The keypad on the OpenScape DECT Phone S6 is backlit and includes several special keys: 5 navigation keys, a keypad lock/unlock key, 1 freely programmable key, a mute key and an R key.

Functions

The OpenScape DECT Phone S6 comes with features that suit professional environments well. It includes a calendar that can hold up to 30 events, with details of the day, time and even additional user entries. The phonebook on this DECT phone stores up to 500 entries. Furthermore, 3 VIP contacts can be set up with the following details: first name, last name, photo, email address and user notes.

It also features a visual call indicator that shows the caller's name and number. The OpenScape DECT Phone S6 can tell internal and external calls apart. A handsfree function is included as well, letting the user hold conversations without keeping the phone to their ear at all times.

Connectivity

The OpenScape DECT Phone S6 offers a 3.5 mm jack socket and Bluetooth connectivity. This means both wired and wireless headsets can be attached. It also has a Mini-USB socket.
